F is for Friend - #atozchallenge

Freedom is an underrated accomplishment for many. In spite of the limitless reach of mind and thoughts, so many are still shackled by their environment and memories of past experiences. I believe a Friend is always the one window to the world around us intellectually stimulating as well as keeping one's feet to the ground at the same time.

While growing up, I recollect that all the best memories are those, which are shared with a friend. Even though the quote says "A friend in need is a friend indeed", Friends can meet in the most unexpected ways.

According to a quote in the great Mahabharata, "Your spouse is supposed to be your best friend.". Growing up, I find it making friends is a bit different and sometimes tougher, not sure if it is the same with other's too.

Very first, you should be your own best friend to keep sanity and be a better person. I would recommend having an imaginary-friend then be void in living.

E is for ENTROPY - #atozchallenge

I love the word ENTROPY.

ENTROPY is a fascinating word. Strictly speaking in terms of laws of thermodynamics it takes a while to wrap the head around the concept. On the other hand, entropy is measure of a disorder in a system. (Or is it the measure of DRAMA in the system. or a understanding of CHAOS)

Only thing I understand is the total amount of ENTROPY in the universe is ever increasing.

As one grows the effort is to keep control of the ENTROPY in our lives and reduce it to a minimum to make our self feel powerful, but nature and time have a way of dealing with this. They outsmart us at this struggle eventually winning over.

Think about this.

The more the learning, the more the understanding of how less it is still understood.

D is for DRAMAAAAA - #atozchallenge

Of the embarrassing memories, I recollect one from my 6th grade where I directed a detective school DRAMA which was inspired straight out of TV serial 'Karamchand'.

My class mates played the role of detective 'Karamchand' and sidekick 'Kitty' with aplomb carrot chewing and funny lines while I was relegated to playing the murderer who runs away from the scene of the crime leaving a cigarette butt.

On stage, the dead body actor got stage fright and refused to move out when the curtains were down.

For the audience who had to suffer through it luckily had these hilarious goof ups where one actor had to prompt out loud, "I said my line, its your turn".

I could sense the desperation of the teachers who were witnessing the ensuring 'thriller' turn into comic routine with lines uttered by the participants were out of sync of the scene.

Really wonder how it passed the scrutiny of acceptance, but nevertheless I often enjoy smiling at the adventures achieved in the age of innocence.

C is for Chemotherapy - #atozchallenge

Common sense is uncommon.

For those aware of Chemotherapy and for those who had to suffer through it to eventually challenge the disease, my sincere best wishes.

Spectating from the sidelines, feeling helpless for the brave who undergo the challenge with a Smile establishes some memories and emotions which "words cannot express".

For the big C, Care is the only complement to cure and Cure is only bettered by Prevention. Only time knows the answer.

Take Care for Yourself.

B is for Basics - #atozchallenge

Basics, Get your basics right.

The 10000 hour rule in the Malcolm Gladwell's book Outliers suggests that Mastery over a subject is eventually accomplished in around 10000 hours of practice over time, but the inherent assumption is 'BASICS' are right.

A tall building should definitely have a very strong well built foundation. In everything you do if your basics are right, you will eventually master it with correct regular practice.

Even to this day Researchers and Scientists all over the world are still trying to unravel the 'basics' (fundamentals) of what makes up Matter and how to map it correctly to explain every observation around us.

If you think you have understood something try explaining it in a minute or two to a layman, if you can you know it well, if not Get the Basics Right.

A is for Avacado #atozchallenge

A is for avocado

An Apple a Day Keeps the Doctor Away, can also apply to the avocado (even though I do not recommend biting it raw)

Of the many paradoxes in life, one I had successfully retained till many years, is the ability to Eat and Enjoy served food not knowing about the ingredients and calorie count.

Fresh homemade "GUAC" (or guacamole as it is known otherwise) is delicious and recognized to be healthy food. It is made from avocado, a fruit I never knew existed.

I wonder if it is time for generation Z Kids to initiate learning English alphabets starting with A is for AVOCADO.

Read more about it at Wiki and start the second quarter of the year on a healthy note.

Wish you a great time ahead !!!

Apple's BIG Mis-step

Seeing the line-up of Macbook Pro's it  Apple has unveiled another evolutionary product for the Apple'ites to consume.

FWIW, I think it is a BIG Mis-Step for a Technology Company which is simply trying to fill in its coffers with more operational margin.

I would expect less than average sales of the new line-up of Macbook Pro products including the retina display because of the "price" factor.

Funnily Enough !!!

Happy New Year 2011 to you !!!

This year 2011 with years of acquired wisdom, I have a large list of resolutions on my sight. The list includes a weekly personal blogpost. So here it goes.

Atleast one good laughing minute a day is absolutely essential for me to retain one's own sanity and soberness in this changing world. I am habituated to burst into a laughing episode while enjoying a cartoon/movie or sitcom. On the other extreme, in the most inopportune of circumstances, I find myself being reprimanded or subtly hinted to tone down the excitement. Being one of a very few who can laugh at oneself, I confess to be a "serial laugher".

One favourite anecdote is about a guy when asked "Why are your socks green in one and orange in the other foot ?" replies "Strange as it is, I have one more pair like that at home".

Of all the faux paus, which could have happened to me about the attire I wear, I recollect walking around the day with a "Brand Label" sticking out my new jeans/pants/shirts or with a stain or hole in them. You think of it and I can recollect when I experienced it first hand.

But Today beats them all.

I have come to the office wearing different shoe on each foot. A Black and a Brown. It is just start of the day and wonder how many will notice it. Luckily do not have any scheduled meetings for the day.

Later in the day as I made my friends notice this, they all had a hearty laugh and recollected their instances of wearing T-Shirts inside out, Unkempt hair and pulling off sticker labels from their colleagues dress.

Huh !!! Guess whatever happens to you, has happened to one of your friends before still holds true.

Have a great time ahead !!!
